With regard to Jeffrey Kuhner's "Obama's homosexual America" (Commentary, May 11), if marriage is no longer limited to one man and one woman, then how does the state, as matter of reason and "equal rights" exclude polygamy, polyandry, the marriage of adults and children, the marriage of close relatives, and even more bizarre combinations? Perhaps it's time to admit that the Democrats are right: Republicans are conducting a war on women, and there is a very good reason we are able to do so. You see, Republican women are actually "fembots." We Republican men have all our women converted at a secret location. Part of the process requires lowering the robots' IQs and making them totally submissive to our every wish. The conversion of our women to fembots leaves Republicans free to attack Democratic women without fear of consequences at home. Published May 15, 2012

Imagine the following dinner-time scenario in an American home: A little girl tells her father one night, "Daddy, I let someone else do my homework and I got a great grade." His response: "Good girl. With that attitude you just might grow up to be president some day and know just how to save a major corporation from failure." Published May 14, 2012

I commend North Carolina voters for passing the Marriage Protection Amendment 61 percent to 39 percent ("Obama's same-sex fallout," Web, Sunday). North Carolina became the 31st state to adopt a constitutional amendment defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman. Published May 14, 2012

The problem with statements like the one made about Ann Romney by Democratic strategist Hilary Rosen is that they are usually unaccompanied by evidence ("The left's war on moms," Comment & Analysis, April 13). Published May 11, 2012

I am a former law enforcement officer, and it certainly appears that Metropolitan Police Chief Cathy L. Lanier has more than a conflict of interest in her relationship with Sgt. James M. Schaefer("D.C. cop's overtime aids Lanier household income," Page 1, Thursday). Published May 11, 2012

Since the derision of Team Obama's "The Life of Julia" campaign rolls on at a fast and furious pace, I figured I'd throw in my two cents. Perhaps I'm dating myself, but when I was a kid, a TV series that ran for a few years in the late 1960s and early 1970s that depicted a young nurse going through the struggles of everyday life. The show was also titled "Julia." For purposes of clarity, let me label Team Obama's Julia as "Parasite Julia" while the Julia from the TV show will be "Nurse Julia." Published May 10, 2012

President Obama is in full campaign mode, so any job-creating proposals that even slightly offend any of the naive sensitivities of the far left will be stonewalled until "after the election." At that point, they will be hurled to the bottom of a pile of a multiplicity of other solutions that have been recommended to actually spur economic growth in this country (see any of the budgets that have passed the House).
